Houston has to be licking its chops at the prospect of facing struggling Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. The Astros have battered left-handed pitching all season and Freeland is one of the most hittable in the game at this stage of his career. Brandon Walter will need to keep the Rockies bats in check and I believe he's capable of doing so. Walter has held four of his five opponents this season to two earned runs or less. We also have more faith in the Astros bullpen compared to that of the Rockies, opening the door for a 'win by margin' in this contest. Take Houston -1.5 runs.

Each has been pedestrian with his performance this season and everything points to them being in the "wrong place" at the "wrong time" tonight.

This number is now low in my opinion, so consider the OVER.

Mariners starter Bryan Woo matches up well  against the Royals in his own pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park. Woo has been a workhorse this season going no  less than 6 innings in  his 16 starts during the  current campaign.   His 4-seamer is his go to pitch and rated highly among MLB scouts. Im betting on him going long and strong and for him to keep the inconsistent offense of the Royals from any excessive run production and helping his team to a win. ( The Royals have scored 2 runs or less in 8 of their L/11 overall)

Play on the Mariners to win 

This is a play on the CHICAGO WHITE SOX for our Thursday Free Play. The Dodgers had a big night on Wednesday with the Clayton Kershaw strikeout night and then a three-run ninth inning to make it a 5-4 comeback win. Safe to say there was some celebrating after and even though it was just the White Sox, this is the spot play against Los Angeles. The Dodgers have won three straight and eight of nine games and have increased their lead to 8.5 games in the National League West over the Padres. Dustin May tossed three quality starts in June but none were very efficient and he finished the month with a 5.67 ERA. It has not been a good comeback season for May who had elbow surgery and then esophagus surgery and missed all of 2014 as he has a 4.68 ERA while pitching to a 4.84 xERA to go along with a mediocre 11.1% K:BB%. The White Sox did White Sox things last night and are 5-6 in their last 11 games which is respectable for them. Aaron Civale makes his fourth start for the White Sox with one bad outing against Toronto while allowing three runs in nine innings in his other two and is now catching his biggest number.
